The central theme of Bright World of Metals, which took place with great success in Düsseldorf from 12 to 16 June 2023, was the transformation of the metals industry towards climate neutrality.
The new dates for GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST have been confirmed. The industry’s leading international trade fairs will take place from 21 to 25 June 2027 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre.

Young, innovative companies wishing to take part in Düsseldorf’s world-leading metallurgy trade fairs from 12 to 16 June 2023 can now apply to Messe Düsseldorf and apply for funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
Malte Seifert (37) has been the new head of GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST since 1 August. As Project Director, he is responsible not only for the four trade fairs – which will take place in Düsseldorf from 12 to 16 June next year – but also for the seven international editions of Bright World of Metals.

THERMPROCESS is heading to China: as part of the wire and Tube China trade fairs taking place in Shanghai from 23 to 26 September 2020, Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, in cooperation with Chinese and international partners, is organising a 500-square-metre pavilion dedicated specifically to the field of thermal processing technology.
After five eventful days at the trade fair, “The Bright World of Metals” came to a successful close on Saturday 29 June, having impressively reaffirmed its international leadership as the world’s most important trade fair platform for metallurgy and foundry technology.
