IPG is helping gh AUER GUSS GmbH to speed up the production of components for luxury sports cars

Based in Amberg, Germany, gh AUER GUSS supplies high-quality light-metal parts to a wide range of customers – from car manufacturers and e-bike producers to sports equipment manufacturers and medical technology specialists.

Quality and on-time delivery

For over 35 years, the die-casting specialist has been using IPG HPDC machines to live up to the company’s motto – ‘Success through quality’.

When a time-critical project arose that would enable the company to meet the production requirements of a world-renowned sports car manufacturer, Christoph Hundseder, Managing Director of gh AUER GUSS, knew immediately who to turn to.

“I have complete confidence in IPG. When we needed to ensure that we would have a refurbished machine and a new casting cell available by a specific date to meet the production requirements of one of our largest customers, I had no reservations. Thanks to the professionalism of Marco Giegold and the IPG team who supported us on this project, we will definitely achieve our goals,” said Christoph Hundseder.

A partnership based on performance and expertise

We have been working with AUER GUSS since the early 1990s. IPG HPDC machines (with and without toggle levers) and automated cells can be found in every foundry hall at the Amberg site.

These are used for the production of aluminium and magnesium components and provide AUER GUSS with the flexibility the company needs and values.

Mr Hundseder added: “We often supply highly complex parts made from various aluminium and magnesium alloys. IPG can also provide in-house automation expertise, and there are not many suppliers of HPDC systems that offer high-performance machines and cells suitable for both metals.

We have been benefiting from this comprehensive range for a long time and look forward to deepening this collaboration in the near future.“
