Sustainable metals for decarbonization, material cycles and future mobility

Metals are both a raw material and a product. Metals make electronic products functional, they are found in various products that move our world, in vehicles and automotive batteries, in cell phones and buildings. To maintain the quality, scale and efficiency of metal production in balance with global energy and material resources, key technologies are needed for the sustainable production and processing of metals as industry moves towards a carbon-free economy. Increasingly, the entire life cycle of metals will likewise need to be monitored, with ever higher fractions of valuable metals to be recovered from recycling while saving and reusing energy.
 
Metallurgical technologies are both an enabler and an adopter. They constantly transfer process knowledge to new climate-friendly markets and promote growth there, while greening proven processes of metal making and shaping more sustainably.

The forum targets technology suppliers, manufacturers and end users and intends to show how industrial innovation across sectors can advance decarbonization, the use of renewable energy, recycling and future mobility.

The event is free of charge for trade show visitors and will be hosted by VMDA Metallurgy, a partner of GIFA METEC THERMPROCESS.
