Remote Smart Service (RSS) provides real-time video and audio stream of your technical issue to the remote Norican support experts. Show the problem through the camera of your smartphone and get instant guidance to the problem solution. Troubleshooting technical issues on machines in the field require quick service support and very often the physical presence of a technician on site. The use of Augmented Support technology, combined with a new generation of service contract, enable more efficient service, and avoid travel cost all leading to reduced downtime and service cost.

Monitizer DISCOVER – A digital solution on our equipment which allows customers to turn their data into value. Customers use a browser-based dashboard to access actionable insights to maintain productivity and control resources. Eco Benefits include optimised energy control, material and resource efficiency, production energy savings.

Monitizer PRESCRIBE – An Expert Execution System (EES) to minimise the scrap rate and cost of non-quality in your foundry. The system uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) system for dynamic process control, built specifically to learn these complexities and provide the operators on the process with the optimal set of adjustments at any time.DISA Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) to eliminate scrap. Scrap creates additional metal and energy costs due to re-melts and repours.
DISA Trace & Guidance (TAG) – Foundries gain full casting traceability with DISA’s patent-pending TAG concept. TAG tracking helps identify exactly when the casting was produced and provide new insight to drive down quality-related costs to previously unseen levels and prevents scrap - no need to re-melt scrapped castings.

ItalPresseGauss. Innovative products that focus on energy efficiency for high pressure die casting machines.

ECO FIT - A smart system designed to regulate hydraulic pumps within the hardware. Reduces energy consumption by up to 50%.

The new TFs series machines are lighter: less metal and less weight, means fewer carbon emissions during their construction. Their weight, coupled with the fact that all our new generation TFs machines come fitted with ECO FIT as standard, means significantly less energy is consumed during production cycles.

StrikoWestofen. Presenting a wide range of eco products and innovations at GIFAWestomat – The cleanest dosing system, it uses only 1/3 of energy compared to any other ladle system and holding furnace. As little as 0.06% metal loss.

StrikoMelter BigStruc - The latest innovative solution for melting huge returns. Optimum pre-heating of the material increases furnace efficiency by up to 5%. Melts huge returns as one, reducing the number of steps required for melting large returns.

StrikoMelter PurEfficiency – The world’s most energy efficient furnace. Uses only 489 kWh/t.

Part Load Efficiency – A software that enables foundries to charge the StrikoMelter in the most efficient way, even when it is not a full load. Reduces energy consumption by up to 20%.

Sand Testing Equipment – When a foundry minimizes the variation of the inputs to their sand system, the output of their sand system will be more consistent. A consistent sand system is the easiest to control and a quick way to eliminate casting defects. Not only is it cost efficient, making a casting right the first time, eliminates the added energy required to reproduce a scrap casting. Sand testing equipment allows a foundry to minimize not only defects but also optimize raw materials.

Sand Reclamation – Why does a foundry buy new sand when they are paying to dispose of sand at the same time? Reclaiming waste sand to reuse in chemically bonded and green sand moulding systems results in significant savings in raw material, disposal costs, and can increase casting quality.

Wheelabrator. Showing the latest resource-efficient shot blast technology.

ECOFIT – An ecofit shot blast machine will automatically switch to energy saving mode if unused for a short period of time.

At Norican, we are taking action by taking the lead. We want to leave the planet in a better condition than we found it and do business in a sustainable way, which safeguards our planet for future generations. We care about health and working conditions, about protecting and supporting the communities we live, work and operate in, and finding smarter, less wasteful, more efficient ways of doing things. In 2022 we were awarded Bronze EcoVadis level.
We submitted our GHG goals to Science-Based Targets; an emissions reduction initiative based on the Paris Agreement to avoid climate catastrophe. They provide standards and guidance, as well as reviewing, approving and tracking companies’ climate action targets.
We are constantly striving to improve our ESG performance for everything we do. Internally we appointed global sustainability ambassadors, who work with local teams to prioritize activities, educate their colleagues and customers, and involve them in driving change. By prioritizing sustainability, we can ensure their long-term viability while also making a positive impact on the world At Norican sustainability is at the core of everything we do.
