On course for success with a new Executive Committee. On 14 May 2025, the Executive Committee of the four leading global trade fairs GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST held its constituent meeting in Düsseldorf. The focus was on initial strategic impulses for The Bright World of Metals 2027 - with a particular focus on promoting young talent and the further development of the ecoMetals initiative for sustainable production technologies.

Executive Committee sets the course for The Bright World of Metals 2027

Executive committee on 14 May
On 14 May 2025, the new Executive Committee of the four leading global trade fairs GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST held its constituent meeting in Düsseldorf. The focus was on the strategic impetus and content direction for The Bright World of Metals 2027.

The committee brings together key players from the international foundry, metallurgy and thermoprocess technology industry. Among other things, the Executive Committee discussed current challenges and forward-looking developments in the individual sectors in depth.

The core topics include:
  • ecoMetals and the path to sustainable production
  • Promoting young talent and securing skilled workers
The following presidents have been appointed: Dipl.-Ing. Clemens Küpper, President of GIFA and NEWCAST, Jochen Burg, President of METEC, Dipl.-Ing. Till Schreiter, President of THERMPROCESS.
