NIEL was founded in 1969 and has a history of trust and reliability. This year, we can look back on 54 years of serving our customers.

Some of the key milestones in New India Electricals' journey to becoming the leading electrical supplier to steel mills:

1. 1969 - Established and began operations in Bangalore, India
2. 1971 - NIEL becomes distributor for Kirloskar, GE and Reliance
3. 1980 - Establishment of a manufacturing unit for LT switchgears
4. 1983 - Establishment of a department for explosion-proof equipment
5. 1989 - Establishment of a factory for the assembly of transformers
6. 1998 - Establishment of a division for the assembly of pumps and motors
7. 2004 - Establishment of the Substation Solutions Division
8. 2005 - NIEL becomes ABB system house for MV switchgears
9. 2006 - NIEL becomes ABB Channel Partner for power plant electrical systems
10. 2010 - NIEL wins the EEPC Start Export House Award
11. Present - NIEL is India's largest stockist of motors and pumps for the steel industry
