The preparations for the 2nd International Thermprocess Summit, on 27 and 28 June 2017 in Düsseldorf, are already moving full speed ahead. The upcoming ITPS will broach the issues of the future. ITPS will once again build a bridge between industry, research and politics and bring all participants to the table.
Current topics such as energy efficiency and raw material efficiency, new business models regarding the increasing digital interconnectivity of product processes are all on the programme. A major topic will also be Industry 4.0.
Atilla Somuncu, Managing Director of Otto Junker GmbH believes that Industry 4.0 will not only play a very big role for plant engineers, but also for the entire working world. He believes that through the use of Industry 4.0, the quality control, from the point of view of the plant engineers, can be improved. This could lead to the revolutionising of the possible downtimes of plants.
In the upcoming ITPS, he sees a great opportunity through dialogues and the exchange of information to further develop in his daily work.
Dr. Gunther Kegel, Chairman of the Executive Board of Pepperl+Fuchs shares this opinion on the topic of Industry 4.0. Here, he sees the possibility to be able to generate turnovers and business in a very short time and to create added value through digitisation and networking.
He then goes on to say that there is no other topic in this industry, where so many people are working so consensually on one topic at the same time. According to him, this is an indication that clearly everyone, who is dedicated to Industry 4.0, rates it particularly high.
This, in turn, makes ITPS to one of the highlights for the industry concerning the topic of conferences, presentations, contributions and top-class speakers.
