LENAAL's existing casting facilities enable the company to cast high quality industrial components for an international customer base and process approximately 400 tons of aluminum per month. In order to meet the increasing demand, especially in the field of electromobility, the Polish company will install another system in a new production hall at its headquarters in Radom in the medium term.
LENAAL has been examining where it can achieve significant efficiency and productivity gains to increase production capacity by early next year. One of these measures is the introduction of MONITIZER | Refill Monitor, a cloud-based solution that uses sensor data to continuously compare the filling level of the furnaces with the metal consumption of the die-casting process.
"With Monitors | Refill Monitor, the melting department team no longer has to go to the foundry shop to check the metal content in the dosing furnaces. Instead, all the information they need is displayed on one screen via dashboards - detailing the order in which the furnaces need to be refilled and the amounts of metal needed. We replenish what is needed, exactly when it is needed, without wasting time. It really is a great tool for optimizing foundry operations and improving efficiency. In addition, our engineering team uses the dashboards to monitor the operation of the dosing furnace and detect errors and anomalies - for example metal temperature fluctuations. You get emails when the kiln is not running." As a result, we have already seen significant efficiency gains from the elimination of machine downtime. This solution will definitely help us achieve our productivity goals," explains Marcin Suwala, Chief Operating Officer by LENAAL.
