India's most focused exhibition for Aluminium Die-Casting was held in Bangalore from December 4th – 6th 2014.
ALUCAST 2014 attracted more than 100 exhibitors (1/3 international) and almost 3.000 qualified visitors with the entire range of Aluminium Die-Casting Equipment and services and a demanding cover of programe lectures.
"The Indian market for the automotive industry presents a situation like in China 15 years ago" considered Mr. Lothar Schneider (Kolbenschmidt) "and we don't know whether the market will develop like in China, but the option for a remarkable growth is realistic and the signs are very positive".
ALUCAST President Prasan Firodia (Jaya Hind, Force) emphasized the growth of the booming automotive industry in India and the demand of lightweight constructions. Bühler's Samuel Schaer remarked that the share of aluminum in cars is growing more and more and it has been a very successful year for his company in India after a period of stagnation.
During a first flash survey on behalf of Foundry-Planet, the majority of the ALUCAST exhibitors endorsed the good organization and that they were able to reach their target groups.
On balance, I’d like to state that ALUCAST has a positive future perspective, maybe the organizers should think about alternating locations to be closer to the Indian Die-Casting clusters of Chennai, Pune and Delhi.
