Coming soon: next NEWCAST in 2009!
If it didn’t exist already, it would have to be invented: After two highly successful events, the international trade fair for casting products, NEWCAST is set to continue its good record. Responding to the latest developments in the market and the requests of many exhibitors for a more frequent show, the next NEWCAST has been scheduled for as early as next year, from June 23 to 25, 2009.
New features at NEWCAST include the NEWPART Innovation Park for forged and sintered parts and the Metals Plaza, a forum for the raw material and metal trade. Other new areas will be logistics and prefabrication which have moved from METEC to NEWCAST. Also, a range of new casting methods will be shown, using permanent and sand moulds. The popular and informative programme of additional events will take the form of the 4th NEWCAST Forum, with seminars and conferences supplementing the show itself.
Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director of Düsseldorf Messe, says: “For the first time NEWCAST – the number 1 trade fair in precision casting – will be showing forged and sintered parts next year, parts with similarly important roles in this industry as traditional casting for finished and semi-finished processes. These topics are given a platform with global relevance at NEWCAST.”
Moreover, the trade fair is set to develop into a comprehensive marketplace for a range of industries next year: automotive and aviation, aerospace, rail traffic, naval engineering, mechanical and plant engineering, the construction industry, electrical and electronic engineering and medical engineering. The target groups are procurement agents, design engineers and users of cast and metal parts.
Companies that are interested can now book their stands at NEWCAST 2009 with Messe Düsseldorf. Friedrich Georg Kehrer, director NEWCAST 2009, says: “We’ve just sent out invitations to exhibitors and are really pleased that there’s so much interest among companies, both nationally and internationally, in showing their innovations at NEWCAST.”
Kehrer and his trade fear team have compiled an informative brochure called “Check-in”, which presents the most important key details of NEWCAST in English and German. “Check-in” also contains the most important facts and figures of the visitors’ survey conducted by Messe Düsseldorf. It shows, for instance, that the level of satisfaction among visitors was 96%. Furthermore, the brochure contains a list of the most important NEWCAST exhibitors in the past and of the various industries that are planning to present their goods and services at this trade fair in Düsseldorf.
Kehrer says: “We’d very much like to welcome exhibitors to our stand information meetings where we’ll be discussing above all the specific ideas of each company for their stands and design.”
Any companies that are interested in taking part in NEWCAST and in the NEWPART Innovation Park can book directly on the internet, at http://www.newcast.de/. Further details are available from Markus Liedtke and Vivien Kotschedoff on the NEWCAST project team (Tel: +49(0)211 4560 44 7 or 8).
